MEET OUR TEAM

Throughout his career Dr. Lawrence has continued to seek a better way to help those whom he has had the honour of treating.  Consequently, he has incorporated leading edge technology such as laser therapy, advanced traction protocols, active therapeutic movement, which can help speed rehabilitation of targeted muscle groups.

As for continuing post graduate education Dr. Lawrence focused his efforts on the emerging field of clinical neuroscience.

In 2011, he became certified as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board after attending the Carrick Institute for Post Graduate Studies.  In 2013 the American College of Functional Neurology granted him status as a Fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology, further rounding out his education in Clinical Neuroscience.

Clinical neuroscience is the newest, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technique drawing from the fields of neurophysiology, psychology, neurology and nutrition.  This leading-edge field brings new hope to the sick of all ages that have failed to find relief in the present system.

Dr. Eric Guillemette is native to the North Bay area. After graduating with honours from Ecole secondaire catholique Algonquin, Dr. Guillemette continued his education by obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Health Science at the  University of Western Ontario. While in school, Dr.

Guillemette knew he wanted to pursue his education in healthcare and provide bilingual services to his future clients. After completing his degree in 2014 at Life Chiropractic College West, Hayward, CA, Dr. Guillemette

was granted his Doctorate in Chiropractic. Additionally, while Dr. Guillemette was obtaining his doctoral degree, he performed over 300 hours of postgraduate studies in functional neurology to obtain a Diplomat from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (DACNB).

Dr. Guillemette is prepared to help any individual with his/her concerns ranging from sports-related injuries such as sprain/strains and concussions to complex neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injuries, migraines,

vertigo, dizziness, neuropathies, and radiculopathies.

Dr. Guillemette uses a variety of modalities in the management of his client’s care such as manipulative therapy, soft tissue myofascial release, light therapy, sound therapy, vibration therapy, and/or electrical stimulation.

In 2015 Dr. Lawrence was granted status as a Fellow of the American Board of Brain Injury Rehabilitation after completing over 400 hours in mild traumatic brain injury and vestibular therapy at the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies; as well as Grand Rounds for concussion diagnosis and management at the Carrick Brain Centre in Atlanta, GA.

“When I committed to serving those with mild traumatic brain injuries, I realized that I needed to pursue the most in-depth training available in this area,” says Dr. Lawrence.  “Although it will always be a work in progress, it is gratifying to see injured individuals  regain their lives with the skill set I have been fortunate enough to attain.”

Adding to the growing body of evidence supporting the positive outcomes associated with clinical neuroscience, Dr. Lawrence has had two abstracts accepted for publication in the journal Frontiers in Neurology in February 2016:

“NOVEL BRAIN REHABILITATION PROGRAM REDUCES POST CONCUSSION SYMPTOMS IN A 45 YEAR OLD FEMALE”

“REDUCTION OF PALATAL MYOCLONUS WITH NOVEL BRAIN REHABILITATION TREATMENT”

In addition, he has authored the world’s first referenced, educational poster on concussions, which is used in doctor’s offices around the world. (www.neurologymedia.com)
